A lot of the patients want to have a younger looking smile. Age should never be a reason not to do something, especially if it makes you feel better about yourself. Three primary components that need to take place including brushing and flossing daily as well as scheduling visits to your dentist every six months. There are some tips for achieving younger smile and appearance.

  • Keep as many teeth as possible, gap in the smile is very aging. You should consider replace those gaps with an implant, a bridge or a denture if you have. A little problem can become a big one, so you’ve to make sure that you visit a dentist regularly.
  • You should contact your dental hygienist regularly. Tea, coffee, wine and smoking can stain your teeth and affect how old you look. It is more important to make sure that your gums are healthy because gum disease can increase your risk of diabetes and heart disease.
  • Teeth whitening in the dental office has become increasingly popular and a great way to look and feel younger. You must have done this by a professional dentist.
  • Older people tend to have older dentistry in their mouth because of discolored fillings replacement. This will discolor and can cause the smile to appear older. By using new white flings, old fillings can be replaced with new white fillings, inlays or veneers.
  • The edges of the front teeth can appear worn and chipped when people get old. Younger teeth have got slightly rounder corner. So, you should reshape to recreate this shape for your teeth.
  • Most of the people want nice and natural smile. If your teeth are much discolored then you can use braces to move your teeth and you could have veneers placed on the teeth. With the technology and products now available, you can now achieve a long lasting, predictable natural smile.

You need to do more than brush, floss and see your dentist to stay young. Your entire lifestyle matters. If you want to slow down the aging clock, make sure to get enough sleep, eat a healthy diet, make time for exercise and keep down your levels of inflammation by taking care of your teeth and gums. There are no shortcuts to getting and staying healthy.

What are the procedure for Root Canal Treatment

Tooth decay is mostly asymptomatic until it reaches the pulp (nerve tissue) inside the tooth. When decay tooth decay spreads to the pulp within the tooth, one may experience spontaneous throbbing pain that aggravates with cold and sweet foods. Dental pain increases at night while lying down. If the tooth is left untreated, the infected nerve tissue becomes abscessed causing a swelling. Root canal treatment as the name implies, is cleaning and treating the canal system within the tooth. Following profound anesthesia, the canal system of the tooth is accessed by drilling into tooth. The canals are cleaned by using sequential files. The canals are dried and then filled with a bio-inert material called gutta percha. Extensive tooth decay and mechanical instrumentation during treatment leaves the tooth fragile and prone to fracture. To protect the tooth from Fracture your dentist will advise a crown. Sometimes depending on the amount of tooth structure that is lost, a post (a metal or glass fiber pin) is placed for added retention of the crown. Last tooth structure is replaced with a strong filling material. Tooth is prepared to receive the crown. Retraction cord placed to obtain an accurate impression. Impression taken for precise lab fabrication of the crown. Crown restores form and function of your tooth.

Why socket preservation is necessary after tooth extraction

Sparking teeth promotes confident smile. But what if you lose your tooth.  After tooth extraction blood will fill the socket forming clot. This is covered by gum as healing progresses. Looking closely into the socket. blood clot gradually turns into granulation tissue and eventually to bone. Unfortunately during this healing period. Bone losses its height and width and will thin over time. Good news is socket preservation immediately after extraction with alvelac can prevent this loss. Alvelac helps stop bone loss and is easy to use. Firs measure socket size. Then select and insert right sized Alvelac into socket firmly engaging buccal and lingual walls. Placement can be horizontal, vertical or diagonal at crest level. Finally suture and place wet gauze. How Alvelac works? It’s a rigid yet highly porous bio-scaffold preventing collapse of socket walls. it also holds blood clot to crest level and  maintain maximum spaces for bone formation. As bone forms naturally, bio- scaffold will dissolve away. This way height and width is preserved with good foundation for future tooth restoration. In comparison, without preservation, thinned bone and sunken gum will form. But with Alvelac socket preservation, contour will be well maintained. A denture will have poor aesthetic and uneven fit on a sunken gum but with alvelac socket preservation, its well- fitted.  Sunken gum causes a prominent black line below the bridge giving poor aesthetic . With preserved bone there will be no black line. Thinned bone compromises implant success due to exposed implant threads and poor stability. A good preserved socket assures high success. Thus for functionality and aesthetic outcomes a tooth, in goes on  Alvelac.

Dental Crown for Healthy Smile

After a lot of tooth structure has been lost your choices are limited. You could try a filling, you could have the tooth extracted or you could choose to put a crown on the tooth. A filling may be an alternative but there has to be enough tooth structure to hold the filling in place. If not, biting forces can cause tooth break. After a tooth breaks it often requires much more extensive treatment, sometime even extraction. An extraction would only be a short term solution because teeth need each other for support. A missing tooth sets off a chain reaction of shifting teeth. This increases risk for decay and gum disease and other dental problems. If you chose to delay treatment the tooth may break and require extraction or bacteria can get inside the tooth causing pain and requiring root canal therapy. A crown seals up plaque and bacteria covers and protects the tooth and restore its strength and shape. That’s why we recommend crown to help keep your tooth and smile healthy.

Dental Tips: Cleaning your teeth

Teeth Cleaning is a critical aspect of general hygiene and it also manifests off lot of systematic problems we don’t do it effectively and properly. The best way to clean your teeth is to first floss your teeth as for you take the dental string using a mechanical advice and or just taking a string and rapping around the fingers going in between each tooth and flossing in between them. A tooth brush and water pack those not giving you mechanical advantage that you need to remove particular matter on the teeth. So using at the floss first, secondly we use a good dental first and if you have opportunity to do so then mechanical Tooth brush is ideal. It is very efficient and spent about 5 to 6 seconds per tooth in the area both on the inside and the outside and top of the teeth you do this all way around and at the end if you feel like you need to wash or rinse your brush you can use any of the melt rinses or whatever else. If you do this daily you find your body system is going to be much healthier. These are ways to take care of your teeth. There are also other ways to clean your teeth.

How to keep patient’s trust and confidence about dental care?

In  most of the cases patient don’t want to go to the dental Care because they  ignore dental treatment. Patients perceive the dentist as both the controller of what the patient perceives as dangerous and as the protector from that danger. Thus the dentist’s behavior and communications assume increased significance. The patient’s ability to tolerate stress and to cope with fears depends on the ability to develop and maintain a high level of trust and confidence in the dentist. To achieve this goal, patients must express all the issues that they perceive as threatening, and the dentist must explain what he or she can do to address patient concerns and protect them from the perceived dangers. This is the purpose of the clinical interview. The result of this exchange should be increased trust and rapport and a subsequent decline in fear and anxiety.
